Drill-Down Views
On any of the graphs in the Dashboard you can click and do a drill-down of the deals constituting that particular graph or section. With this you can get real-time insights into why particular deals have been marked Red or Amber.
You can see deals with stage or tasks overdue and also give actionable query to the respective deal or task owner to help improve the situation.
Viewing Drill-Down Deal List
To see a drill-down deal list
- click on any of the pie-graph or bar-graph you see in the Dashboard
- it will show a list of deals comprising that particular pie or bar graph.
- the Title of the list shows the source - for example here user clicked on the pie chart for America(s) region - so the title says "Deals by Region (Americas)"
- the sub-title shows the breakup of deals based on color status and aggregate values.
- you can sort the list using the column headings.
- The columns are customizable as per enterprise requirements
- Typical columns are
- color status - Red, Amber, Green, Sky-blue, Dark Grey, Light-Grey
- Name - the deal name
- Deal Owner -
- Close Date - estimated close date for open deals and closed date for close deals
- Stage - the stage deal is in currently
- Vertical - industry vertical
- Region - Geographical region
- Deal Overdue Days - number of days deal is overdue by for open deals
- Task Overdue Days - number of days task is over due by - you can click on the task overdue days field to get a list of tasks in this deal.

to send an actionable query to the deal owner.
Viewing Drill-Down Task List
To see a drill-down task list
- click on the Task Overdue days field in the Deal list shown above.
- it shows all the tasks in this deal in tabular view
- The table title shows the Deal name
- you can sort the table using the column headings
- The columns can be customized at enterprise level, Typical columns are
- task name
- Assignee
- overdue days
- Start date
- End Date
- State - due, intermediate, completed
- you can click on
to send an actionable query to the deal owner.
- you can also view the task list in a Gantt chart view
- on mouse hover over a task bar it shows the task summary
- you can click on a task bar to see the task details.
- the task bars are color coded to show their status
- Red - behind schedule by more than 1 week
- Amber - behind schedule by less than 1 week
- Green - on schedule
- Grey - completed task
Sending Actionable Query to Owners
You can send an actionable query the the respective deal or task owners from the drill-down list. You can also see responses from the respective owners. This allows you to mitigate any risks in deal progress faster through DealWall.
To send actionable query to deal / task owners
- click on
in the Deal / Task list shown above.
- a task form appears
- the title is auto-filled in by the system - you can override it if needed
- the assignees are auto-filled in by the system to deal owner and task owner. You can change if needed
- you may enter description or comment with the query you want to make to the owner(s).
- click on Save.
- the actionable task is sent to respective owners - they will see it in their notification icon.
Acting on Actionable Queries:
- As a deal or task owner you will see the actionable queries in you Notification icon
- you can click on the notification
- View Task form will appear with the query sent by the executive.
- you can answer it via comment and then click on Add
Viewing Responses to Actionable Queries:
As an executive who initiated an actionable query to deal / task owner you can see the responses sent by the respective owners.
To see the responses and sent more questions or information if needed
- click on
in the Deal / Task list shown above for the deal or task in question
- the task form appears with information filled in.
- the response from the owner is seen in Existing Comments section
- you can add more queries or information as new comment
- click on Save
- the owner(s) will get notification.
