The Deal Team pane is similar to the Contacts pane on the Landing page. It allows you to
- add a new contact to a deal
- select an existing contact and add it to the deal.
- On mobile devices it also allows you to add a contact from the contact list on the mobile device.
- Sort the contacts by name or their company
- Search for specific contact(s).
- initiate communication with selected team members in the context of the deal
- filter deal activities based on selected contact
- assign deal roles to contact.
Adding New Contact to a Deal:
Note: You can add a contact to a deal only if the role assigned to you permits it.
To add a new contact to a deal
- On the Deal Team pane, tap
.
- The Add Contact window appears. Tap New.
- The Add Contact window appears. Type the mandatory information.
- Select the appropriate deal role - this determines what permissions the new contact will have within the deal.
- Tap on Save
Adding Existing Contact to a Deal:
Note: You can add a contact to a deal only if the role assigned to you permits it.
To add an existing contact to a deal
- On the Deal Team pane, tap
.
- The Add Contact window appears. Tap Add.
- it shows a list of contacts in your Personal Address Book
- Select the contacts you want to add to this deal (optionally you may Select All)
- click on Add
- Confirmation message appears advising you to select the deal role for these newly added deal team members.
- the newly added deal team members will appear in the Deal Team pane.

Sorting and Searching deal contacts
- Click on the Company button to sort the contacts by Company they belong to
- Click on Members button to sort by name.
- enter partial name in the search bar to list only matching contact names.
Initiating Communications with Deal Team
You can initiate communications with the deal team members in the context of the deal using the communications bar in the deal team pane. This allows you to
- send email
- schedule meeting
- assign tasks
- initiate a call log
- start a chat session
- filter activities based on selected team member
- edit deal team member profile
To initiate any communication activity:
- select the required deal team members
- from the communication bar select the appropriate activity
- it displays the appropriate form pertaining to the selected activity where you can complete the action.
- the communication activity is recorded in the Deal Activities list
- Note: for Call log and edit only 1 contact is to be selected.
